Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can tell us to do with it.
1. Who we are
purause is a brand of Pranav Group, at 136/7, T.C. Palaya Main Road, Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore 560016, Karnataka, India. GST 29ABJFP0724A1ZJ.
For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, Pranav Group is the data controller for information collected through this website. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the data fiduciary.
You can reach us about anything on this page at info@pranavgroup.in or 9845119844.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
We only ever hold what you typed into a form. There is no account to create and no login.
- General enquiry form: name, email address, phone number, subject and your message.
- Dealership form: name, company name, mobile number, email address, city, state, business type, years in business, existing distribution network and your message.
- Wipe quiz: if you ask us to send your result, your first name, email address, your four answers and the result they produced. If you do not fill that in, your answers stay in your browser and never reach us.
- Product issue reports: whatever you enter on the reporting form, including batch details and, if you choose to write one, a description of what happened.
- WhatsApp: if you tap the WhatsApp button, your message and phone number reach us through WhatsApp, whose own privacy policy then also applies.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs kept by our hosting provider: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you requested and when. These are ordinary web server records and are not used to build a profile of you.
- Analytics and advertising cookies, but only if you accept them. See sections 5 and 6.
What we never collect
No payment card details, because nothing is sold directly on this site. No passwords. No health information. No biometric or location data beyond the approximate country your IP address implies.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, which is usually the only reason your data exists on our side at all.
- To assess and respond to a distributor or dealership application.
- To investigate a product issue you have reported, including tracing a batch with our manufacturing partner.
- To send you the quiz result you asked for.
- To send you occasional email about new products, but only if you ticked the box asking for it, and only until you tell us to stop.
- To understand which pages people read, so the site gets better.
- To show you our advertising on Meta platforms, if you accepted advertising cookies.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers. That is not a policy we might revise quietly; it is the point of the brand.
4. Our legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases under Article 6:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for marketing email, analytics cookies and advertising cookies. You give it actively and can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for replying to enquiries, assessing distributor applications and keeping the site secure. We have weighed this against your rights and consider a reply to your own enquiry to be what you would reasonably expect.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) where we must keep records, for example a product safety complaint.
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, or for the legitimate use of responding to a purpose for which you voluntarily provided it.
5. Cookies and tracking
This site sets no tracking cookies until you accept them. When you first arrive you will see a banner with a genuine choice. Declining is one click, the same as accepting, and the site works identically either way.
Strictly necessary
One entry in your browser's local storage records your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page. It contains only "granted" or "denied" and a date, it expires after twelve months, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Analytics, only with consent
If enabled and accepted, Google Analytics 4 tells us which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from, with IP anonymisation switched on. It is aggregate reporting, not surveillance of an individual.
Advertising, only with consent
If enabled and accepted, the Meta Pixel lets us measure whether our advertising works and show follow up ads to people who have visited. Section 6 sets this out in full.
Third parties that load regardless
Two services load on every visit because the site needs them to render: Google Fonts serves the typefaces, and Cloudflare's CDN serves the physics library used by the footer animation. Neither sets a cookie here, but both receive your IP address as part of any ordinary web request. If that concerns you, both can be self hosted; write to us and we will do it.
On the pages that carry a form, hCaptcha also loads, to stop automated spam reaching our inbox. It is not advertising and it does not profile you across websites, but it does set its own cookies and it does receive your IP address, rough location, browser and device details and the way you move the pointer or press keys while solving it, because that is how it distinguishes a person from a script. It runs only where there is a form and only for that purpose. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the forms usable. If you would rather not use it, email or call us instead; the address and number are in section 14 and both reach the same people. hCaptcha is operated by Intuition Machines, Inc. and its own privacy policy is at hcaptcha.com/privacy.

6. Meta Pixel and social media retargeting
With your consent we use the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited that reports back when you view a page or complete an action such as submitting a form.
What it does
- Measurement. Tells us how many people who saw an advert went on to visit the site or fill in a form.
- Retargeting. Lets us show our advertising on Facebook and Instagram to people who have already visited this site. This is why you may see us again after leaving.
- Custom Audiences. Groups visitors by behaviour, for example everyone who read the Wipes page, so an advert can be shown to that group rather than to everybody.
- Lookalike Audiences. Asks Meta to find people who resemble our existing visitors. Your data contributes to building that model in aggregate; no individual is identified to anyone.
What Meta receives
Your IP address, browser and device information, the page you are on, and any Meta cookies already in your browser, which is how Meta can connect the visit to an account if you have one. We never pass Meta your name, email address, phone number or the content of any form.
Joint controllership
For the collection and transmission of this data, Pranav Group and Meta Platforms Ireland act as joint controllers under Article 26 GDPR. Meta's responsibilities and your rights against Meta are set out in their Controller Addendum. Meta's own handling of the data afterwards is governed by their privacy policy, which we do not control.
How to stop it
- Decline cookies on the banner, or withdraw consent in section 5 above. The pixel then never loads.
- Change your ad preferences directly with Meta in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
- Use your browser's tracking protection, or an extension that blocks pixels.
We also run ordinary organic and paid social accounts. Interacting with those there is governed by that platform's policy, not this one.
7. Who else sees your data
We use a small number of processors, each for one clearly defined job.
- Web3Forms receives form submissions and delivers them to our inbox. It is the only route your form data takes.
- hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) checks that a form was filled by a person and not a script. It sees the captcha interaction and your IP address, not the contents of your message.
- Our email provider holds the resulting message in our inbox.
- Our hosting provider serves the site and keeps standard server logs.
- Google serves fonts, and analytics if you accepted it.
- Meta Platforms Ireland receives pixel data if you accepted advertising cookies.
- Cloudflare serves one JavaScript library from its CDN.
- Our manufacturing partner, only where a product issue report requires a batch to be traced, and only the details needed to trace it.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim. If our business is ever sold, data would transfer with it and you would be told before anything changed.
8. International transfers
We are in India. Several of the services above are outside India, in the EU or the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, as offered by each provider. Where data leaves India, we transfer only to countries not restricted under the DPDP Act.
9. How long we keep it
- Enquiries: 24 months from your last contact, then deleted.
- Dealership applications: 36 months, because these conversations are slow and often resume.
- Product issue reports: 5 years, as product safety records.
- Marketing consent and email address: until you unsubscribe, and 30 days after that to prove we honoured it.
- Quiz results: 24 months, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Server logs: as set by our host, typically 30 to 90 days.
- Cookie choice: 12 months, in your browser only.
10. How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, so anything you type is encrypted in transit. Form data travels directly to our processor and is not stored on this website. Access to the inbox is limited to the people who need it and protected by two factor authentication.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your rights we will tell the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours where the GDPR requires it, notify the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires, and tell you directly without undue delay.
11. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do all of the following, and we will.
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete it, where we have no overriding obligation to keep it.
- Restrict or object to how we use it, including profiling for advertising.
- Portability: receive it in a common machine readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to, as the DPDP Act provides.
Email info@pranavgroup.in with the words "data request" and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not make you explain why.
12. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Under the DPDP Act we do not track, profile or serve behavioural advertising to children. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data we will update this page and move the date at the top. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will say so plainly rather than hope you do not notice.
